GM Bram Frank

GM Bram Frank nato il 19 luglio del 1953, Florida USA, da sempre appassionato di Arti Marziali, di tecniche di combattimento e di knife fighting, ha iniziato negli anni ottanta a studiare l’Arnis Filippino, in particolare con il GM Remy Presas, fondatore del Modern Arnis. I quaranta anni di esperienza maturati nello studio di arti Marziali quali Wing Chung (William Cheung), JKD (anche Dan Inosanto), Small Circle Jiu Jitsu (Wally Jay), American Freestyle Karate e Punti di Pressione, gli hanno permesso di incorporare i principi di tali Arti Marziali nella sua visione di Modern Arnis, definita nella sua organizzazione didattica  Conceptual Combat Modern Arnis, per evidenziarne l’attenzione agli aspetti di combattimento, l’orientamenti alle lame e l’attento studio dei principi più che delle sequenze tecniche (Conceptual). La passione per le lame e per il combattimento ravvicinato lo hanno poi indotto a codificare un suo sistema di Combattimento (Combatives) modulare e sempre basato sull’utilizzo dei coltelli definito CSSD-SC (Common Sense Self Defense – Street Combat), in cui gran rilevanza hanno anche le leve articolari e l’applicazione dei punti di pressione. Il GM è divenuto famoso anche per il disegno di coltelli da combattimento e sistemi cinetici da lui brevettai per l’apertura e chiusura dei coltelli folder.
Il GM da oltre 10 anni in Israele è Istruttore delle Unità Anti Terrorismo  (Anti Terror-IDF-ISA) e questo gli ha consentito di ottenere il riconosciuto di “Padre del Combattimento con il Coltello Israeliano”

GM Bram Frank born 19 July 1953, Florida USA, always enthusiast of Martial Arts, fighting techniques and knife fighting, began in the eighties to study the Arnis Filippino, in particular with GM Remy Presas, founder of the Modern Arnis. The forty years of experience gained in the study of martial arts such as Wing Chung (William Cheung), JKD (also Dan Inosanto), Small Circle Jiu Jitsu (Wally Jay), American Freestyle Karate and Pressure Points, have allowed him to incorporate the principles of such Martial Arts in his vision of Modern Arnis, defined Conceptual Combat Modern Arnis, to highlight the attention to combat aspects, the orientation to the blades and the careful study of the principles rather than the technical sequences (Conceptual ). The passion for blades and close combat then led him to codify his Modular Combat system (Combatives) always based on the use of knives defined CSSD-SC (Common Sense Self Defense – Street Combat), in which relevance have also the locks and the application of pressure points. The GM has also become famous for the design of combat knives and kinetic systems that he patented for the opening and closing of folder knives.
The GM works for more than 10 years in Israel as an instructor of the Anti Terrorism Units (Anti Terror-IDF-ISA) and this has allowed him to get the recognized as “Father of Combat with the Israeli Knife”
